  8.           Welcome to the BEETHOVEN BIBLIOGRAPHY DATABASE (BBD)
  9.      The BBD currently includes 2,700 records for books and scores
  10.  
  11.      The Beethoven Bibliography Database is a research project of the
  12. Ira F. Brilliant Center for Beethoven Studies at San Jose State
  13. University. The database, begun in 1990, is funded by SJSU, the National
  14. Endowment for the Humanities, the American Beethoven Society, and other
  15. contributors.
  16.      The database indexes books and articles about Ludwig van Beethoven
  17. and first and early editions of his scores.  Currently, all materials
  18. included are located at the Beethoven Center (Wahlquist Library North
  19. Room 614).
  20.      To order a copy of the instructions for use of the database and a
  21. list of subject terms, call the Beethoven Center at 408-924-4590 (or by
  22. e-mail: ELLIOT@SJSUVM1.SJSU.EDU).
  23.      The Beethoven Center is open to the public from 1-5 p.m.
  24. Monday-Thursday and 1-4 p.m. Friday, or by appointment.  Materials do
  25. not circulate, but photocopy service is available for 20 cents per page.
